I don't think first ballot either....... However, he is in for sure. He is a super bowl runningback, league MVP more then 5000 yards receiving and 10000 yards rushing... Only three guys joined the 10,000-5,000 club as a running back. (Barry Sanders, Tiki Barber, Marshall Faulk)

I think right now I'm trying to think of the other big names retiring this season and I'm stuck at Tiki Barber who I still am not convinced has a Hall of Fame caliber resume. I suppose Parcells if he stays in this class would probably be the main competition as far as newcomers to voting go. And maybe Junior Seau if he's not back. I think Faulk will have a good chance of being a first time hall of famer with what he produced and the Super Bowl win. He wasn't just a good back for a couple of years, he was the best back in football for a couple of years. He was LaDanian Tomlinson before Tomlinson became what he is now.

I also think that it will help him out if he goes back and continues his work with the NFL Network over the next couple of years. I know that that shouldn't have anything to do with it, but I believe the continued exposure(as long as its positive) is always a good thing when looking at these votings.

I dont see him as a first ballot HOF. He had about a 3 year run were he was excellent with the Rams, kinda the same run that Priest Holmes had with the Chiefs, and I dont see him getting in to the HOF at all.

Marshall in the end prob gets in but think it takes 5 years atleast

Yes. 135 career TD's, over 10,000 yards. Super Bowl winning running back. It all says Hall of Fame.

Maybe not 1st ballot, but he will defintely get in. You don't score 136 TDs, amass 20,000 yards in total offense, win a SB, win league MVP, and not get in.

No, he is not a first ballot. His longevity was questionable. However, after the second or third ballot i would have him in.

Yes. His versatility and all-around ability should get him in first time around.
