In middle school, I trusted all my friends. In high school, some friends talked behind my back, spread rumors about me. So, now, years later from the drama. I don't trust any of my friends. I just talk to them but NOT that personally like I used to.

Should I trust my friends again?

its hard to trust people after uve been dissapointed however its also hard to live and enjoy life when u dont let ne1 get close enough to you where u can begin to experience trust...i kno how hard it is but try to remember not everyone is out to get you and not everyone wants to hurt you...try to let the wall down little by little, eventually ull meet people who are worth letting in and then ull realize how beautiful of a thing trust is all over again

best of luck

You should already be able to tell if they are trustworth or not simply by whether they gossip about their other friends to you. Basically, a gossip is a gossip and they will talk about whoever is not right there. If that's what you hear from these (former) friends when you do see them, especially if it is unpleasant or hurtful talk, then you know these are not people you want to divulge any of your more sensitive, private stuff to. Keep it on the arm's distance level. But if they aren't blabbing private stuff about their friends (and family) to you, you might be able to get a little closer. You don't have to open up entirely. Trust has to be earned (and maintained).

Take small steps...don't trust them with your baby, for example. But you might trust one with a small secret and then see what happens...
