Hey just entered into a separation with my husband. We were planning a trip at the end of the year. I think I should still go but maybe substitute to the drving in french alps and portugal to south america trip. Has any one did an overseas trip, did it help or was it miserable?

That depends totally on you...do you like travelling alone? Some people do, they say they have the freedom to do anything they want without having to worry about the other person. Me, personally, I like to have company, so I dont think I would enjoy myself. The trip is a great idea....do you have a girlfriend that would like to go with you? If you dont, then its not too late to find one. I know this woman from New Zealand who was in a similar postiion to you, and she found lots of female friends over the net, who jumped at the chance to go travelling with her. Obviously, the friendship just didnt happen over night, and she got to know these other women. I think you would be surprised at the amount of women who would be looking for the same thing....Oh, this woman wasnt a lesbian either....lol....just thought I would throw that in. There are heaps of hetrosexual women that would love to go travelling with a woman in the same situation. I think it would be great to go on a trip to get you away from the problems of your separation.....whether you choose to go alone or with a companion you need to decide for yourself.

Have a great time on your trip....you will come back a new woman.....take care.
