"What's this", my friend Rob asked. "That? Oh, I don't know, just some old junk that belongs to my dad", I replied. "Wait", Rob said, "this is a TIME MACHINE!" I couldn't believe it! My dad had something cool? WOW! I never knew that. I just thought it was just some old junk. Now that's what I'm talking about. I asked Rob if he'd like to travel with me through time. I put the pedal to the metal, because everyone knows when you're going through hell, don't slow down.
"Hmmm. .There's a stable, a baby is being born. . .OMG!!! Let's get out of here before they ask us where OUR gifts are!"
We got back in our machine, and pressed the "backward" button. We saw many interesting things, but the nagging thought remained, "I just hope this machine doesn't break while I'm observing these dinosaurs!"
Rob and I decided to try to change history, by saving the greatest president ever, Honest Abe himself. We arrived just as he was leaving for the theater. "No, Mr. Lincoln", we implored him, "STAY HOME TONIGHT!!". Unfortunately, he didn't heed our warning, and we could not change history. "Let's get back to the present", Rob said. "Good idea, tomorrow, the future!"
