Is Darren McFadden the best RB and player in college football?

4. Ray Rice, Rutgers
5. P.J. Hill, Wisconsin

Many more after, it's tough because there are many talented running backs out there.

For the guy who said its going to be a 4/5 win season your retarted! McFadden and Jones is the best duo in the country i believe 3rd best last year, Arkansas will dominate the ground like they have since Clint Stroener even then Madre Hill ran up the yards, Darren McFadden is without a doubt the best rb/player in the country, if he went to the draft this year he would be picked before Peterson's name was brought up!

Not even close. In my opinion, McFadden is way overrated. When you look at his rushing yards from last season, Steve Slaton from WVU had more rushing AND receiving yards then McFadden, and Slaton didn't even play in the Gator Bowl against Georgia Tech. That's just one player that's better than McFadden, there's way more out there. Another one you could look at would be Pat White, the QB from WVU, he broke the career rush yards for a QB in the Big East last season and he was only a sophomore. Plus, he's proven he's very capable at throwing the ball

WHOA NO!!! The reason he did so great last year was because of Gus Malzahn's offense which allowed Arkansas to pass and run, opened both up.... now that Mustain AND Malzahn are gone, Houston Nutt is back to calling plays on offense, Arkansas lost all the games Houston Nutt called the plays in last season while Malzahn's offense won all the games he called, the offense is back to nothing as is Arkansas... sorry Arkansas looks like more 4 and 5 win seasons for ya... trust me I was a season ticket holder

easily. look at his stats. he put up huge numbers in almost every single game.

he is big enough to run you over and agile enough to break your ankles. he will be the heisman trophy winner.

slaton is a great back. but you have to consider the offense. its dependent on speed. if he was in a power running offense. he would be hopeless. he isnt big enough to run between the tackles every single play.

as for best player. i dont know about that. there are too many good players to judge so quickly. antoine cason (CB from arizona) was scheduled to be a first round pick this year. but a decided to go back for a senior year. i feel that out of any defensive player. he will be a top 5 pick next year. and for offensive. i feel that hart will be a huge player next year along with manningham,

No doubt. I saw him in a high school game a few years ago and knew then he was special. WOW, I don't believe I have seen anyone with the overall talent he has. He runs a legit 4.3 in the 40 and if he cannot go around you, he will go over you. He also runs very smooth so it is hard for defenders to set up on him. He could easily run for 2000 this year.

I believe so. His rushing yards weren't as high as some because his back up also ran for over a thousand yards (Arkansas uses a two rb system). He also had tds in recieving, throwing, and kick returns. So in terms of versatility, I think so.
