I know what you mean.
I've done that kind of stuff, and much worse. I, for instance, was at my cousin's house and running down the stairs, and I didn't realize (until it was too late) that they had candles all up and down their staircase, and when I was running down I accidentally knocked one candle over...then the next....until they were falling like dominos. Thank God they weren't lit! I wanted to cry of embarassment!
I had broken three fourths of my aunt's great-grandmother's good candles! They were a family thing, over 100 years old!!!
I was mortified and filled with guilt. I, too, was forgiven, but I still couldn't accept the forgive.
I guess what made it a little bit better was when my cousin broke my snowglobe....my extremely crappy snowglobe....
As I type this my face is bright red!!
A good idea to get rid of this guilt is to work it off, maybe be a janitor after school for a week?
Sorry, I can't help that much, but I certainly can relate to you and I'll take some of the advice people give YOU to heart!

You have apologised, and you were forgiven..That should be enough. The feeling of guilt that accompanies any act done which one knows is wrong follows the action, but i'm sure that what you did was not intentional. Offer to have it fixed, I'm sure the damage is not that bad, it probably having fallen onlyabout 4 feet at the most! I've seen these things survive worse falls and even intentional throws with very slight damage. So, do your concience a favor(if it really hurts that bad) and offer to pay for repairs!! That way you'll break even and not feel so bad anymore.

Sloik,
You've already apologized. You have to "let it go" as best you can. Time is the only thing that can help ease your guilt at this point. Just be patient. In time, your feelings of guilt will cease. You sound like a nice young man. Try not to be too hard on yourself. The owner of the camera knows that you meant no harm. So, take it easy and try not to stress.

Guilt develops and evolves on its own, just remember that no one likes you any less for what you did, and no one is judging you or holding it against you. I have a friend who feels guilty over everything, just try to find something to do that will get your mind off it or help you relax. The feeling should go away on its own after a time. Don't over analyze, good luck!

Buy them a new one, or offer to pay for something. Or just realize it was an accident and people do things like that all the time.

It will go away with time. You did not do it intentionally. It will pass.
