I think if a woman is able and really wants to do that it's a wonderful thing. However, I'm not a mom yet and right now I can't see myself as a whole person if I'm not working. Plus, I like making money way to much to not work right now. Maybe when I have kids I'll feel differently.

My mom is. And as I got older I realized how lucky I was to have one. Daycare kids, who only see their parents at night and early in the morning, can be picked out of the crowd instantly. There are less and less parents staying home with their kids, and it really stinks for both the parent and the child. Most daycare kids are really arrogant, and self centered, and pretty mean. I don't know what the difference is except that the stay at homes always had someone there to love them and care for them. I think they exoerience life more though.

I think if you are able to do it....you should. It is a wonderful experience to stay at home with the child for awhile at least. I stayed at home with mine until they were 3 or 4. Good luck!

that they rock, because they are staying with the kids, instead of carrying about their careers more than their family

They get bored at nap time and need some extra company/attention.
