If a relationship is based solely on great sex, sooner or later that great sex will lose it's luster. Eventually you find yourself longing for something more, something that seems missing. That something, like you I would say romance before great sex. Someone who knows your heart first, will more likely know you better in bed. As you say, :) leads to great sex.

I've had romance where the sex sucked. Some girls are just dead. Best sex is always lusty. You both want it and know how to get it. Romance is for schmucks.
