Firing United States Attorneys - did you know that in 1993, Janet Reno fired 93 US Attorneys?

That's because it happened when Clinton took office, not two years down the line. The removal of attorneys by the party in power is not new. What stands out about this case is that it happened two years down the line (that is VERY rare) and there is a paper trail leading to Karl Rove (Dubya's chief advisor), asking about the lawyers' personal politics and the cases they were handling at the time.

Bush isn't getting the free pass from Congress that he has had for the last six years. Hopefully, the Dems go after him like wild dogs, but they will probably play politics and this sad masquerade of a democracy will continue.

Who cares ,quit bringing up things in the past and find the true reasons why the newest attorneys were fired. Using deception is not gonna work anymore for you and your bushy friends. Your republican comrads dont even have the marbles to testify under oath. And if they did,they pretty much admitted they would lie,so in other words,they just dont want to be charged with perjury and obstruction of justice. Get real and see the truth. The republican party is corrupt and most think they are above the law. But after scooter libby ,they obviously have thought twice about their situation. They need to speak the truth,the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. But that is impossible for them.
