I am assuming that you wish to copy a video DVD, is that correct?

Standard disclaimer: you should only copy the stuff you own, and only for archival purposes. You do NOT have the right to copy the stuff you rent or borrow.

Open DVD Decrypter, and then use that to open your video DVD, and by default it should remove all protection. This allow you to rip the DVD to the HD in a VIDEO_TS folder, which is the standard video DVD format, albeit without the protection.

If the result is too big for a standard DVD writable (4.4 GB roughly) you'll need to use DVD Shrink to shrink that down to a size that fits.

Else, just burn that folder using ImgBurn to a DVD writable.

That's all there is to it.

WELL... if you have DVD shrink, thats all you really need. But DVD shrink needs you to have NERO burning rom installed already. If you don't have this then you're pretty much out of luck. DVD Decrypter is a really difficult program to use, and ImgBurn only burns disc images as far as I know which isn't useful for you.

Get Nero installed (any version with the ability to make your own DVD movie should be ok...DVD shrink uses some pieces of this software).

Then...after you that installed. Run DVD Shrink, insert the DVD you would like to back up... if it doesn't load automatically then select "open disc" on the top left. Once it's been initially analyzed (should take about a minute or so) then you can choose to fine tune the compression (how much DVD shrink ... well... shrinks the DVD) or you can just press "back up" (top center i think) ... then go to the very last tab and choose burn.

IF my explaination isn't detailed enough try this online walthrough guide: http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvd-decrypter.php
