okay so you know when you do the whole and all that jazz how do you get it to have a background under the text or a color behind it?

textarea elements can be styled with CSS rules.

simple e.g.

a body background will do that with:
(Hexidecimal Coding)

or you can also code the background of a table if the effect is for a paragraph and not the rest of the page.
