Horrible pains come later, when they start they will be mostly in your tummy and some in your lower back. They may not even hurt when it starts, but your tummy will get extremly hard, like when you have a cramp in your leg and you will feel tension and then after a few seconds it will release. I was in the begginning stages of labor for two days, no pain really, just small contractions every 10 minutes or so for a few hours and then they would stop for a few hours. When your contractions start to get closer together they will also start to hurt. You don't need to go to the hospital until your contractions get about 5 minutes apart for an hour.. That what my doctor said anyway. But when your contractions are becoming regular you need to go ahead and call the doctors office and see when they want you to go in. I had an epidural as soon as I got to the hospital so it really wasn't as bad as everyone told me. You'll to great, Congrats!

Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. If they appear to be common, you will have to leisure and drink a few water. The extra hydrated you're the fewer you're going to have them. If you had been in early hard work, the contractions would not stop, they could simply hold getting more potent. As a ways as the release, so long as there's no scent or something, it is ordinary. Your frame raises vaginal discharge in guidance for supply, it is going to occur by way of the leisure of your being pregnant. The diarrhea was once more often than not some thing you ate.

My son is 22 days old. The contraction first felt like a heavy period cramp on my lower abdominal. Then it got more serious and more regular on timing. Couple hours later, each contraction hurted and my whole body was so tended. I need to stop whatever I was doing and closed my eyes to let the pain passed. Lamaze breathing did help a little bit to make me focus on counting breathe then the pain itself.
One suggestion, start to learn how to count contraction.
1. how long each contraction last?
2. how far apart of each contraction is?
Those counts will determine how soon you need to get to hospital!
Good luck! Remember Children is gift from God! Enjoy!

Contractions can feel like horrible back pains that come and go (back labor) or they can go from your back around to your front and move down, like your tummy went from a beach ball to a bowling ball. Yes, they will hurt, if they don't it is a Braxton-Hick aka "practice" contractions. You will know when it happens, you can not miss it and there will be no doubt in your mind that it was one. I know people may say that and when it comes time you won't believe it but you will know.

Contractions feel like Period Cramps but worse. They start off very mild like regular period cramps and then get worse and start to intensify. And yes you will Absolutely know when you are having a contraction. Trust me!!! For my first pregnancy I was wondering if I would know too...just like you. and I Knew.
Good Luck and Congrats

You will get intense lower back pain. it will get worse no matter how you try to breathe or calm yourself. then your abdomen will tighten up and become hard and painful. then you will get intense nausea. these symptoms will subside after a few minutes. then if you have it happen again with in 7 to 10 minutes you are in labor. wait till they are 7 minutes apart consistently and then call Dr and go to hospital other wise you will be to early and not dilated enough, and have to be at the hospital with an IV stuck in you for hours.

I was just like you when I was pregnant with my son. I wanted to know how they felt, and how do I know when I'm in labor. But to tell you the truth. . every one has different pains. Because all I got when I went into labor was pressure. Really bad pressure. Also, it felt like I had a bad stomach ache. It was weird. But let me tell you. . YOU WOULD KNOW WHEN YOUR IN LABOR. I went into the hospital like about 4 times for false labor. But when the real thing came on my baby shower, man, that **** was real!

It feels like a really bad period cramp at first. You may not know right at the start what it is. I thought I was just cramping a little and just blew it off, Then about 4 hours later my water broke EVERYWHERE! Congrats and good luck!!!!

Personally i think it feels like someone hitting you in the back with a sledge hammer whilst lighting a fire in your vagina and trying to push a basketball through your butt! But they only last for a minute and you have a few minutes respite in between, and all the pain is worth it in the end! Good luck!
