I have a BS in Elem Ed and Early Childhood with my Master's in Adaptive Special Ed. I worked 4 years as a K-1 Sped teacher and 1 yr as a Early Childhood Sped teacher. I'm wanting to get out of teaching, but I'm not sure what my options are as to what I can do with my degree and still work in education. Any suggestions?

Education companies are chomping at the bit for people like you. Look up Educational Resources in Google, then contact any of them. It would be sales related, however.

You could also look into becoming a professional inservice speaker.

...or maybe work as a social worker or as a tutor for children stuck in hospitals.

Good luck!

How about counseling? I know there are early childhood psychologists that work by diagnosing developmental and learning disorders; maybe these offices have specialists who do the testing, and coach the children one-on-one. It would be like tutoring the kids how to learn and get along better in school, not teaching what they are actually learning in school in the curriculum.
