Sometimes love leads us to do cruel things in order to be kind to the one we love. That is the tough part doing what seems wrong because we know it to be right. It is neither good nor bad. It just is and we endure it.

tough love is when you do something for someone you love that they or other people may think is not nice or is not good. it might hurt that person for a little but its better for them in the end. for example, if your 30 and live with ur mom, and have no job and ur mom kicks u out. its tough love cuz it seems bad in the beginning but she did it so u get a job and become independent.

tough love is lesson that is taught to an individual although it may hurt them... temporarily. It is important to explain why you had to teach them a lesson to ensure they understand what is going on. Love is never bad as long it has the right intentions.

As a parent i would say you want to help your children but a point comes when you have to let the little bird fly on their own, move out of the nest so to speak, you can't be there forever. How else will the young one stand on his/her own.

It means disciplining your kids or saying no to a love one when you know something is wrong! It is a good thing to me.
