The gal I've been seeing for the past 5 years acts the same way. She too is 45 (I'm 44.)

At 41 she had a hysterectomy and went directly into menopause.

The odd thing is she can sure stare at tall, younger men's crotches and completely lose track of the deep conversations we were having.

If she ogles long and hard enough at some well hung stud muffin, she can barely make it to the end of the day without needing to rub one off asap.

Menopause my a-s-s.

While it plays a part in sexual appetite, etc., there's plenty of proof all over the Internet about women who've gone through menopause, or are going through menopause, that many women still get a severe case of the hornies more often than once a month - or in your case, 3-4 months.

Keep old batteries around and swap them out with the new ones from her favorite toy.

My SO finally got so mad at me she broke hers and we knock boots at least twice a month... lol

Well, i'm 40, and I can tell you that at our age, our hormones are doing crazy things to us. I go through the exact same phases. Very soon she may turn into an animal. I wish I could find words to explain how we feel...its almost like we begin to hate our female anatomy. Does that make sense? instead of feeling arroused, we feel repulsed. And its not towards our man, its all about us. My husband and I have always had a very open relationship. I'm not saying that you don't, but maybe your just not approaching her correctly. Tell her you are concerned about how she is feeling and that if she could find a way to express it, you are very interested and want to help. Tell her how much you miss making love to her, but if she still needs time that you understand. Most important reassure of your feelings toward her and that she is still desirable. I know it's hard on you guys too that our bodies put us through this, but just remember, it's nature not us, and we don't want to feel this way. I hope i've helped you.

Well, at 45 she's probably going through menopause and the hormonal changes have just killed her sex drive. Tell her to talk to her doctor, they can give her medicine to help.

Sounds like she needs to see a doctor. It may be the shot and age. If this isnt it then try counseling.

maybe its hormones. could she be going through menopause? just talk to her about it. oh, not hormones or menopause, cuz she'll flip out. talk about not having sex and ask if anythings wrong.
