Just a simple survey really. My girlfriend works with a cross dresser that even went to the extreme of picking out a woman's name that he goes by while in drag so more to the point is he gay? He hits on my girlfriend when dressed as a man but is this just some show to dispell any thoughts that he is gay.

A good amount of crossdressers are heterosexual! But there are many that are bi and gay as well. I went out on a few dates with a crossdresser (he wasn't in drag when we went on dates though) and he was also part of an organization called Renaissance--which is geared for men who like to crossdress or into being a transvestite. So the answer to your question.....he is probably str8 and definately into girls---he just likes to explore his feminine side.

Not a direct link. There's transgender people who don't identify with the gender they're born into. (And there is NO link to sexuality there; they may end up either gay or straight or bi or anything else). There's transvestites who cross-dress (sometimes for sexual kicks, other times just because). There's varying reasons for that, but that's not necessarily a gay thing. I'll throw "drag" in with that. You WOULD probably find a higher incidence of cross-dressing / drag among gay people (and we probably do it for much different reasons), but it's definitely not a 100% thing.

No. Cross dressing is actually very common among heterosexual men. It's true that there are drag queens in gay culture, but drag queens are usually men openly dressing as women for the purposes of entertainment, where as the term "cross dresser" usually implies a man who wears women's clothing on the sly. Most heterosexual men who cross dress do it as a kind of sexual fetish, in that they find it arousing to put on women's clothing, rather than because they actually want to be a woman (not that that is the cause of the drag queen phenomenon either, but it is a common misconception).

The correlation between homosexuality and cross dressing is very poor. While there are some gay men who enjoy drag, there are also many transsexuals who are trying to live as the gender they consider themselves to be, and there are many heterosexual men who find it pleasurable to dress as women (this group represents the majority of cross dressers).

you're a man? well basically you're at the same point you started out as..but in more of a woman/man appearance...
Hon. there's nothing wrong with this....I'm guessing [sorry if I'm wrong] that you want to see yourself as more of a Lady/man figure rather than a mans [or vise versa..i'm not sure what gender you are]*sorry*[i know i'm geting confused myself]lol.....just be who you want to be and do what you want to do!! there's no law that says people can't cross dress! it's totally fine sweetheart.....

There is no correlation between being a Crossdresser and a homosexual.
Most Crossdressers are heterosexual in a monogamous relationship.

there is a big difference between sexuality (who you are) and sexual orientation (who you are attracted to). the two are mutually exclusive.
furthermore, crossdressing can be broken down further. some are comfortable with their manhood yet enjoy crossdressing as it turns then on.. others (myself) are not comfortable with their manhood. we feel we really are women trapped in a male body, so crossdressing is just one of many steps we can take to be our true selves..

Cross dressers tend to be hetero. I crossdress, i'm bisexual. I dunno what you're supposed to get from that
P.S. crossdressing is cool, and if homosexuals are intolerant of transvestites then that's some real hypocracy
