I'm a runner too && I had the same problem. I went through tons of music until finally I came across punk rock.
&& Punk rock music defitnaly works! Something like MCR, Panic! At the Disco or Green Day.

if that isnt your kind of music i love to run to rock n roll stuff like the beatles and the stones. try music that you know really well and can sing along to that will help keep your mind off the pain. or just your fave tunes that make you feel happy!

Some of Dream Theater's songs are awesome (Panic Attack is a real good one) and Disturbed is another really good one (Down with the sickness and Striken) they are both rock bands and are really good.

well i go to www.pandora.com and put in what i like then it helps me find stuff I like it and lets me filter out the stuff i don't. i have found really good unknown artists on here and that might be a place to start. As for me personally i like Bt, 4strings, Joe Satriani just to name a few.
