I would say no. I'm also a teacher, and I would say grade 7 would be the youngest I would go. I think some of the language isn't appropriate for younger students, the breast-augmentation story with the uncle, the relationship the brother has with his Internet girlfriend may be hard to explain. While kids may want to see it, if you are looking to avoid flak from parents I would choose something else. Why did you choose the movie? Is there a lesson you want the kids to take from it?

I would probably allow fifth graders to watch it. It's rated PG for mild language and thematic elements. The only language I can think of is that occasionally Napolean says "flippin'" or "freakin'", like, "A freakin' 12-guage, what do ya think?" He also says "Gosh!" a lot, but I don't consider that offensive. I think someone is also referred to as "retarded" at some point. I believe the word "pissed" was used once to descibe someone being angry, and occasionally "dang" is said...and I think "crap" is said once. Um....also, while discussing dairy cows, Napolean's friend Pedro says "nipple"...but that's about a cow, so...
As for thematic elements...the only thing remotely questionable is that Napolean's brother talks to girls online and eventually one comes to meet him. They don't do anything inappropriate, just some awkwardly funny flirting.
Oh wait...Napolean's uncle hands out flyers at one point for breast enhancers...but they flyers are very vague and I'm not even sure if they're ever discussed.
So nothing over the top. There's no nudity or serious profanity or violence. Probably the worst violence is Napolean's uncle throwing a steak at him. I'm not sure how fifth graders like this movie...it really has no plot or action...it's just one amusingly awkward moment after another.
You could always watch it first yourself to decide.

I would think they would be extremely bored with it. Doesn't the dad drink a lot? The older brother cruises the net looking for women and I think he is a bit crude. It's been a while since I have seen it. If it were me (I teach 3rd grade) I wouldn't show it. My principal would make me prove how I could tie the movie to the curriculum.
I found this:
The film doesn't have any overt sexual content. One of Uncle Rico's money-making schemes, however, is "Bust Must," an herbal breast-enlargement product. Rico pitches his product to an older woman named Starla, but also to Napoleon's high-school classmates Summer, Trisha and Deb. (The scenes with Rico interacting with high school girls about their breast size have a creepy, inappropriate feel.)
Best of luck!

it saying freaking alot which is a slang word for the f word. i think that you should play it safe and pick a different movie because i think that they do actually have some cuss words in it and even though it is pg it has some suggestive comments.

Its a funny movie... I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Why don't you watch it yourself? My 12yo brother quotes the silly parts. I can think of much worse tv shows...
