For innocent children perished in the holocaust.
In an effort to remember them the Holocaust Museum Houston is collecting 1.4 million handmade butterflies. The butterflies will eventually comprise a breath-taking exhibition for all to remember

The only association that I can think of is the book I Never Saw Another Butterfly.

This comes from writings from children who were victims of the Holocaust.
