For the life of me I can't find how to search on ebay for auctions that have finished already. I know they are purged every ninety days but I want to search recent ones so that I can see the price an item is selling for. Is this even possible?

You need to sign into eBay. Then go to advanced search. Then enter the item you are searching for in the search box, and select the Completed Listing box and then click search. hope the helps.

I've never searched eBay for a finished auction but I'm sure that you can get step-by-step directions from their LIVE HELP. That's the yellow balloon with the question mark inside of it, on the same line as SEARCH, on the upper 1/4 of eBay's home page, on the right-hand side. Try that if you don't get a better answer here

no. the best way to track closing bids is to go in and 'watch item' everything you want to know about. then later you can go into your account and it will show the final bid.
