I want a download stopper to stop my downloads, for instance, if I have dial-up and I have to reconnect to the internet, I would all of which I was downloading off of a site. I dont need a program like Ares, Kazaa, or utorrent. I just want a little program to where i can stop regular downloads, the kind with the pop up window that asks if you want to open or save it.

Try using a download manager. I use gigaget.

Download.com has a really neat little program called download express, works great and best of all it's free.

You can try using download accelerator program. I recommend "FlashGet", the site: http://www.flashget.com/en/download.htm
It is free.

try mozilla firefox they will let u cancel downloads
