After choosing the partition where I will install Windows XP, 4 file systems appear for the partition I chose. They are these:

1) Format the partition using the NTFS file system (QUICK)
2) Format the partition using the FAT file system (QUICK)
3) Format the partition using the NTFS file system
4) Format the partition using the FAT file system

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “1” AND “3”?
I heard that “1” formats faster, is it true?

3 is the better and more complete choice.

It's not that much slower than the quick format. Formatting is not a real long drawn out process unless you have a really monster hard drive. Like a terra byte or something.
