Yes, it can. Water dilutes the amount of HCG in your urine. It could also be that they are using a different type of test with a lower sensitivity level than the Clearblue Easy one you used on Sunday. Also, was you urine at the doctor's office from your first pee of the day? If it was on Sunday and not at the doctor's office, that could make a bg difference, too.
The other possibility (if all other factors are the same) is that you might be suffering from a chemical pregnancy, which means and embryo implants and begins to make HCG, then quickly dies, so the HCG levels drop. I am guessing that is probably not this, though, and that it has more to do with the tests.
I hope it all works out OK!

Hi
That happened to me. It was very faint and even at the docs also. I dont think the water will have anything to do with it. It will be that you are only 2-3 weeks pregnant. The blood test will show up. It did for mine.
Congrats
Carla

Umm yes! Water can dilute your urine. If it's early in the pregnancy it's always better to use fmu(first morning urine) or try not to drink any liquids for a few hours. Wait for the blood test results, those will give you the accurate results!
Good luck!!

No, water doesn't effect the hpt test. What would effect it is it could be to early for the urine test to detect proper levels in your urine stream. The blood test will be 100% accurate. Hormone imbalance can mimic hpt at time's and can falsify urine test.

Sort of. Drinking a lot of water will not affect the amount of hormones in your body, but it will dilute your urine. Thus your urine may have been too diluted to produce a definite line.

The BLOOD test will give you a definitive answer.
Why would you drink so much water before a very important urine test????
