Alright so, my mom was trying to fix our Norton anti-virus...and she had to uninstall and reinstall...so she did...and when you try to start the computer back up, it tries to start and then it says "STOP: c000021a { Fatal System Error ] The session manager Initialization System Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x000003a (0x00000000 0x00000000). The system has been shut down" and I don't know how to fix that...but if anyone knows what I can do, try to explain it in a way that someone who knows nothing about the computer system stuff could understand...because I'm good with programs like word and everything...but when it comes to this I just don't know what I'm doing...so please help!

May not work - But try it - As soon as you turn the computer in tap your F8 key. Tap it every other second or so. F8...F8...F8...You shuold then see a windows advanced start up options menu. Try safe mode first - then try last known good config if that does not work. If you get into safe mode uninstall the Norton if you can. If you cant do that - Once in click Start Run type in MSCONFIG then click OK. Click on Lauch system restore on this screen follow the steps to restore your machine to before your mom messed with the machine. Good luck!

Try logging in safe mode. How?? simple just as it has gone the logo of the computer vendor press F8 there will appear a menu that explicitly says start windows in safe mode that way it does not load Norton or any service that could be damaged and as i assume is Norton who is causing problems then you can uninstall it from there and try to run windows normally if it starts ok install avg free so you don't have the same problem again with norton.

The above knowledge base article only is applicable if you have Norton GoBack, which this person does not state that they do. What you have experienced is known so lovingly as the Windows Blue Screen of Death. If you have the original CD, you can do a repair install of XP and see if that fixes the issue. Steps for doing this are here:

Wow. Well. Hmm.
If i were you. this is if i were you situation
I would..
-turn on computer
-put in my Windows XP disc
-go to BIOS.. ( F10 when your computer is loading up so like 10-15 seconds after u hit the power button hit F10
-go to advanced BIOS
-First boot device: CD-ROM
-Second boot device: HDD-0
-Third boot device: HDD-1
-Save
Then your harddrive will completely reformat if your computer is like mine.
and you will be able to have your computer back but you wont have anything on it anymore.
It is a fatal system error so im guessing that reformating is your best bet.
Goodluck
