The best way to end the nerves is to play in public. After many games you will still be nervous, but once the game begins you will be able to concentrate on the game and the crowd will no longer worry you. Play on a rec league team or in AAU.

Basketball is full of mistakes. Even the Pros make mistakes. But my question to you..what are you doing to make less mistakes? The key my friend is practice. Basketball is a kraft. You have to work hard at it. Practice, practice, and more practice. M.J. even turned the ball over. So don't focus on the mistakes. Take the nessecary action to try and correct them. Another thing try to tune the crowd out. Just focus on the game you are playing. I'm a ball player I know!

its not really your fault, its just a different atmosphere, of course you're going to get nervous in front of a crowd, on the playgrounds its more of a relaxed atmosphere

all you have to do is adjust, just play and not worry about that

the trick for me was to just focus on beating my opponent... and sometimes your opponent is the crowd, they can be beat, it just takes concentration and doing what you love...
