It sounds like you are referring to the actual ball and it is the same size as a regulation nfl ball, and the field is half the size both ways, 50 yards long, 25 across.

I used to play in the AFL 2, 50 yard fields....

An AFL field is 50 Yards long (It goes to 25 then goes back down.) And an NFL field is 100 (It goes up to 50 then goes back down.
