I always had a best friend and then a group of other friends that I was close to but not like me and my best friend were. I trusted my best friend like a brother. The others were good friends but I didn't tell them everything, we weren't that close even though we hung out together all the time. I think there are few people who you can truly trust 100%. I think it's better to have 1 really good friend than to have hundreds of acquaintances. A true friend will always be there for you when you need them and will always be supportive of you.

I trust three of my friends completely, but that does not always mean 100% and this trust took a long time to build up with all of them. It starts with little secrets and stories, and then eventually you really can tell them anything. They are more likely to let little things slip, When something is very important to you, then they really pay attention, and are more careful about not revealing it to others.

You outgrow your high school friends anyway so it really doesn't matter too much. But the reality is that you can never totally trust anyone because human beings being what they are will always put themselves first in a crunch. That's just the way it is...

remember, we are human. no matter what the age. to trust someone 100% is alot to expect of them and them to expect from you. i think you set yourself up to be burned at some point in your life by friends, family, spouse, etc. if you trust someone that much. a true friend is a rare find and if it comes in your lifetime, consider this a gift.

i guess speaking as an "older person" of this group, that the only friends that i have are the ones that i can fully trust, that means ones that can go to my house and check on my cats
while i'm on vacation, the ones that pick up my mail, things of that nature. when you are young, your "alliances can and do change at a whim, but it is only when you get older do realize the true value of a friend.

of course they have, it is part of way things are to teach you that people are fallible, and only God has perfected all knowing I use to be more trusting in my relationship believing love will conquer all, well it will for those whom believe so, that's where i draw line because what one believes makes and breaks most relationship, so when one trusting a friend you might ask what do they believe and what do you believe and can you agree to disagree and move on to the love that Jesus speaks on and commands from all.

Trust is something that has to be earned, not just given, expected, or demanded. So you will know how much to trust people because they will earn your trust (or lose some of it). The most important thing is to earn trust in yourself.

I think most friends try to be loyal and only mess up by mistake unless they have a sad heart.

Sure, all my friends are bitches and I loves all of em for it. There is one person i can be pretty sure will keep my secrets the rest i tell them stuff if i want it spread around. I love them all though and if it came down to it they'd do anything for me and I'd do anything for them.
