anyone know the name of this movie i think it came out in the 90's?

it was kind of like dazed and confused, it had stars in it before they were famous kind of. it had a lot of different characters in it and they followed their lives i think in California(it's not a documentry it might of been a independent movie) there was like an S&M guy in it and some punk kids and they they went to a party and someone killed someone then like two kids (a guy and a girl) commited suicide. i think it came out in like 96

I tried to find the movie you are thinking of but I havn't seen it. My first thoughts were The Virgin Suicides but that's about 5 sisters commiting suicide. Natural Born Killers by Oliver Stone ends with the main characters killing themselves but they are not kids they are young adults Mickey and Malorie Knox and there was no party. There was a party in Virgin Suicides though. The only other things that came to mind were Girl Interrupted which fits the 'before they were famous' description you gave as it is the story of Winona Rider being commited to a mental institution where Whoopi Goldburg is the nurse and Angelina Jollie and Brittney Murphey are fellow patients. Maybe that movie that stars Winona Rider and Johnny Depp anyway just thinking out loud now try the link I placed at the beggining of this text. Peace out

'Around The Fire' with Devon Sawa (from 'Idle Hands', 'Final Destination'). It came out in 1999. Has a bunch of 'now' stars in it. :-)
