1. Yes if you have sex there is the possibility of pregnancy
2. Protection doesn't always work
3. Get a pregnancy test and quit asking people. Even doctors can't answer you on yahoo answers if you are or aren't pregnant!
4. If the test comes up negative take it again a week later. If it's still negative and a blood test shows up negative, chances are you are not pregnant.
5. If the test comes up positive, go to your doctor and confirm the test.
6. Quit asking dumb questions already

There are currently 101,618 questions asking, 'Am I pregnant?' I thought that avatar question was the topper. I see that has slowed significantly. There are 25,741 of those (As opposed to 10,000 back in July). I agree with a great deal of the others here. How do you expect us to give you an answer when you haven't taken the proper steps to discover this yourself? Do they not teach you about the human reproductive system in school? Are you not aware of how your body functions? You may as well be asking if you are going to win the lottery with a bunch of numbers you picked. We are no more certain of your diagnosis than that. I do understand your frustration, but with this new 'add a contact' feature, you will be able to avoid a lot of these REDUNDANT questions. I hope they get the message, but there are new accounts being open every day. In there, there will be a few unknowing girls, bored to tears and not knowing what else to ask and invariably ask it again.
Heehee, you notice hardly any guys answered this question? They know how to shake it off.

I agree, but you people posting "questions" about why people post the "am i pregnant" questions are starting to take up more room than the "am i pregnant" people. What are you actually hoping to accomplish? Have you not noticed that most people who ask this have not ever answered a question on yahoo answers? What makes you think they are going to read this?

That's a good point. I never asked that question but your right no one can tell you online. Even Yahoo doesn't have all the answers you have to find somethings out by yourself.

I agree with you, however, there really are people that don't know what else to do but to think that "their situation" and circumstances have never happened to anyone else before and they want to actually know if anyone knows what they are talking about. Just because some of us know and have the handbook per say on what happens when you are pregnant, some people don't have a handbook and they figure maybe anonymously, and without someone laughing in their face, they can get some information. So, in any case... i agree that the dumbest question is the one that goes unasked...

OMG its about bloody time someone spoke up. thank you. and to those who disagree the reason we get annoyed at these people is because of the amount of others that have asked it and they can just go to those questions and see what people answered rather then asking it again. thats what we are pissed about.

7. If you think you are pregnant STOP smoking, drinking and doing drugs, it WILL harm the baby, even if you are just "barely" pregnant.

Oh, honey, if only people took notice of this request...I have lost count of the number of times I have seen it, yet people still ask if we can magically detect their hCG levels from thousands of miles away!
