My grandmother used to say that work, any kind of work, will pretty much cure what ails you.

so, who said they were not honorable.

I am developing the opinion that as long as you have a job to go to you are honorable...because apparently not everyone thinks we should HAVE to work.

there's a lot of jobs that are not considered honorable by some people. if a person works as hard as they can and is trying to get ahead to a better position -- then it's honorable no matter how menial the job may be.

All honest work is honorable. Some jobs may be humbler or pay less than others (eg, janitor vs brain surgeon), but anyone who works for a living is an honorable person who deserves respect. What is NOT honorable is to live without working, as crooks and many politicians do...

Gawd I wish other people had your attitude. There's nothing wrong about manual labor and menial jobs. My hat is off to anyone who at least has the dignity to get a job instead of sitting dead on their @ss watching soap operas and Springer all day.

Because some people judge soley on how much $$$$ you make, not your integrity or work ethic. If you are a good person making not a lot of money, that is better than being a jerk CEO.

I agree with you. They ought to be. But there are rewards in all work. Even if not considered honorable.

any job is a good job...except of course working in a democrats campaign office....

because unfortunately in this society.... a person's worth is measured by his/her job and bank account and not by the merit of one's character!!!!!
