I am a soprano, but I want to sing the song "you're my everything" for a school talent show. However, this song has a high F and G. I can hit the notes just fine, but I need them to be ka pow! Powerful! My mom can help me, but I want to have a head start

1) Make sure you are really warmed up before singing. I usually spend at least 2-3 minutes just practicing the notes that need work. So I would spend 3 minutes on the F and three on the G, until it is coming out with no hesitation. This is, of course, in addition to your usual warm up.

2) When you go to hit the note, take a deep breath (if phrasing permits) then clench your butt like you are trying to hold a penny between your butt cheeks. Or like you a trying to crack a walnut...LOL. I know it sounds weird, but it really works.

Good luck, and I'm sure you will rock!

Well, I know how to screw with vocal cords surgically so that you can alter your voice with almost a 2% chance of survival, but that takes too long.

You need to ingrain not love, but HATE into your music. YOU NEED TO REAP ALL THE SOULS AROUND YOU WITH MAGICAL DESTRUCTION.

Just kidding. I'm not much a singer, aside from humming myself Dream Theater songs, but based on what I know of human anatomy, you need to open up the stronger vocal cords. First, buy yourself some nasal clearer. It'll help, and it helps open the correct vocal cords. After doing that, gape your mouth and pull the air from your lungs. You should be able to hit a good high note, but there is a limit on people. Having a clear throat, a gaping mouth and the oxygen ushered out of you leaves you with your maximum high. If you need higher, you're out of luck.
