Why does this have to be political? If there is or is not global warming, it is not a Republican or Democrat deal. It's a scientific problem. Why all of the bashing? What happened to intellectual debate?

If you're taking your information from Republican Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma (who's the one spreading that silliness about the "pledge"), then you're limiting yourself. Who is Inhofe to demand anything of Gore? The pledge was far too broad, "to consume no more energy than the average household," and would have to be modified to make allowances for Gore's security and the amount of his land. He's not the average American household. He IS already paying a great deal more for green energy.

Everything I've read shows that Gore is doing great--better in this, his career-long focus, than he did in his Presidential run.

Global warming may or may not be happening-the Earth goes through many warming & cooling cycles in its lifetime. To think we mere humans can seriously affect the eventual outcome in delusional,.just like Al Gore. The Earth is much cleaner now that any time in the last century. All the crap you read about us killing the planet is mostly a fairy tale by the Liberals to scare the population.

It's not just Al Gore's global warming... it's all of our worry ! How can you be so ignorant of what's going on around you ??? You really think that dumping all that pollution into the environment for so many decades would not have an ill effect on our planet ??? Look around you my friend, it's dying a slow death... but it's speeding up every day !

uh... this is science... Al Gore didn't invent global warming...

and it is a theory...

but, so are most things people cite that they say go against "global warming"... you can't prove a theory wrong with another theory... this seems to be a major failure among Republican attempts to disprove him...

apparently none of them know the definition of theory...

Al Gore's global warming should be taken up by Bush. If our Earth ever blows up because of global warming, I hope Bush is the first to die
