You´re right, people are always looking for money, power, luxury, sumptuousness in their houses, cars, clothes. For me life is simplicity. We need to many things to be happy, but we made the life so hard, so difficult. As Lennon said, imagine:

I'll be honest with you: I already DO have enough in my life. No, I'm not rich--there are plenty of things I can't afford. I'm not necessarilly in the best of health, either--I'm a recovering cancer patient who's seen three relapses in five years (I'm currently in remission, so fingers crossed for me, okay?). My wife and I occasionally fight over stupid things. Hell, my dog even digs holes all through my yard!

HOWEVER, not being rich enough to constantly buy all my wants forces me to wring extra mileage out of what I already have. My experiences as a cancer patient have taught me that life--and health--are fragile; so appreciate them when you have 'em, and look forward to regaining them when you lose them. My fights with my wife usually only remind us both of how much we mean to each other (sounds funny, but you see things differently once you've both calmed down). And the dog? Well, my yard looks like a hand grenade training range... but she's still fun to walk and play fetch with.

Things are never perfect, and adding more stuff to the mix won't change that. So I've learned to focus on making the most of what I've already got. And I'm happier for it!

Happiness comes when you have the resources to satisfy your desires.
So you have two choices: accumulate enough material wealth to satisfy your desires or, live a lifestyle of few desires, that way you will nearly always be satisfied

I don't quite feel that way, although maybe I have at times. Any more, I don't feel like I want or need anything. As long as I have a regular job and can pay my bills and have a few beers every weekend, I feel pretty content. Anything over that extra stuff. Extra stuff to worry about, sometimes.

I lost my sister-in-law this month who died from a stroke at age 42, leaving behind 3 young children; and I have a sister, who at age 50, is undergoing radiotherapy for cancer. I have 2 kids, a wife, and we are all healthy. I don't need much else.

Enough is when your heart is filled with warmth, and all feels as it should. If you hunger for more, you must eat. We are here to live. It's okay to want more, and we are so worthy.
