HI folk, listen i had this AWFUL dream last night and i believe some dreams are caused by our daily lifes, but some dreams i think have no significance with what we do daily and so i believe some dreams can be warnings etc, anyhoos, i had this dream last night that i killed someone, i am a christian for goodness sake and this is shocking me, i feel horrible and sometimes i look up dream intepretation books but i cant seem to get much on this,,,has anyone ever dreamt this before? if so,,,did anything significant happen in your life following the dream? anything unusual? or does anyone have intepretation books which they can look up for me,,,,i feel sooooooooooo bad just now. groan.

Most times to kill someone or to be killed in a dream represents destroying parts of the self. Maybe beliefs or behaviors or even energies that the victim possesses. Like if you killed a parent, you could be killing off some parental behavior in your self or maybe how you relate to your parents. Killing a child usually means you are destroying the child part in yourself.... maybe even a childish behavior that you have shown. You need to remember details of the victim in your dream to accurately assess the meaning. (i.e. - man or woman, young or old, etc.)
How did you kill this person? For example, as above, a using a knife usually mean cutting away unwanted parts of yourself. Even if you are using the knife on someone else. Or if you cut them in a particular part of thier body, you may have some health issues concerning that part of your body and are cutting it away. Now, a gun on the other hand, usually represents sexual energy. If you killed them with your bare hands.... hitting usually means you are lashing out at yourself. There is a longing to be able to love yourself and express your feelings. All of these weapons also have one thing in common, which is energy. Whether you are giving to much out without replenishing or you are receiving too much without giving back.
Was there a lot of blood? Blood also represents energy. It is the life force of energy. If someone is bleeding thier energy is being drained from them.
There are so many things that can affect how and what you dream. You shouldn't take a dream at face value and evaluate the obvious. There is always something much deeper. My best guess from the few facts that you have given us is that you are overloaded with some kind of stress which is causing a self loathing. Maybe you have an inner depression because you are struggling to keep up with the daily grind. Too many tasks and not enough hours for you to have control over every aspect of your life. So, in your dream, you killed off that part of yourself that is holding you down.
Don't worry, I don't think you're on your way to having your picture on a post office wall.

It is not as sinister as you think. According to dream interpretation when you harm or murder somebody else in a dream, it indicates that you are trying to murder the parts in your life that you are not happy with, Dreams rarely indicate the people in the dream but more importantly they indicate how you are emotionally and psychologically. Some believe that murder can also be a sign that you are having unrepressed anger and rage towards somebody in your waking life, that you are unable to express.. Maybe you should look at that possibility and if it is true talk to the person that is upsetting you. Remember that dream analysis is not based on an exact science, so I wouldn't get too freaked out about it. We all have disturbing dreams that make us feel terrible, but it is only a dream and you know deep that you wouldn't be capable of carring out such and act.

I have dreams that others are killing me. It must simply be perhaps mind thought from video games or books. Another reason of this may acttualy be something mysterious. I do not think anybody can prove anything of dreams, so at the moment I am stuck trying to figure out why I have dreams of people killing me with daggers.

usually we are supposed to be all the characters in the dream. So perhaps you were both people. Perhaps you feel you are killing something in your life. Is it control you have over something you no longer want in your life? It's not really murder so don't worry. xx

well I looked up in one of my books and this is what it said"it is possible that you are feeling threatened and are attempting to "eliminate" your competition.
