A few days ago I asked a question. please read that question and some of the responses before reading the rest of this one

You see, almost all of the answerers to that question say something about spending time with their loved ones in their answer. This is just a random selection of people who come together here from different parts of the world. they all speak the language of love, yet we see so much hatred going on in the world. people get killed for no apparent reason. my question is

why is the world like this? why should people who all understand love (to some extend or another) do this to each other?

and the question that was asked in the film "Blood Diamond";

Is God ever going to forgive us?

PS. By us I mean mankind.

Good question, I wonder how many people will understand your point, and if any will it alter their peceptions, beliefs, etc. I would love to say that even if your question was translated into every language and published everywhere there would a positive impact and yet still there would be those who would not change their paths of destruction, murder and war.
Compasion for others just does not reach all. (regretably)

I will not touch on the subject of God's forgiveness because I am an atheist, but I will use him as an example of why the world is so divided with hate when we all preach love. Religion has been the leading cause of war in history. Civilizations across the globe have always had a spiritual system. Their systems often clashed with those of another. A group that believes strongly in their system will defend it with their very lives, even though it contradicts its own teachings of love and at times tolerance. People disagree on their beliefs, like they disagree on the way they should live their life, or what love really is. People have different ideas and are not easliy swayed away from them. Even love at times cannot conquer that.

I don't believe in God, sorry. I can't believe an entity of any kind could be so cruel. I believe there is something after death but not 'a god'. Religion is a crock as all religions believe in something different and you can't all be right can you? I have had experiences that tell me there is more after this life but to believe 'a god' is watching over us is laughable, you believe in someone who sits back and watches all this suffering do you? If there is one he needs sacking and replacing with Richard Branson I say!!!!!!

i think it was a good question....and i like this one too..
the world is like this as God gave everyone free will....you can go one way or the other....there's a right path and a wrong path....it's not God that tempts us..it's the devil...we have a choice...
God forgives us all..if we are truly sorry for our sins.....

remember that there are always 2 parts, the negative and the positive. we feel love & hate, which is better and for who? the situation? our experiences? everything counts, it makes us individuals...fair?...it depends...one man´s food is another man´s poison
