I have moved so much in my life. The movers have always said fill the drawers up with clothes, they don't mind the weight they are use to it and have equipment to help them, but you save a lot of time money and boxes, utilize whatever you can. i don't know what is worse, moving or having your husband teach you to drive....

Take Out the Drawers with the Clothes in them. This makes the Whole Dresser easier to carry out and in.

Pull the drawers out and wrap them in plastic wrap with the clothes still inside. You don't have to unpack the drawers but the dresser frame is easier to carry.

Well you don't HAVE to but it sure makes it easier to lift.I think you would be surprised how much clothes weigh. Also sometimes you have to turn the dresser on its side to fit through the door and that's much easier to do when its empty.
