I have a .mac email and I also use Microsoft Entorage for my comcast emails, neither the MAC email program or the Microsoft will send out any email but they will bothe recieve email. Any ideas what could be causing this they worked for a while they just recently stopped working right. Is there any setting or anything that I could have changed to make this not work right? Or could it be a problem with my internet provider, I do use a wireless connection that is my own but I have never had a problem until now.

I have checked the outgoing setting and both match up to what they are supposed to be

make sure your SMTP settings are correct. try setting up another account in mail (but with the same account), and see if that works

Did you do any system updates lately? I seem to recall one or more updates messing up Entourage according to macfixit.com, it might apply to Apple Mail too. I didn't read the possible fixes because my Entourage wasn't affected. You might want to check the macfixit site on that but they probably archived it and can be only accessed by subscribers.

The SMTP (outgoing) address may be different than the POP3 (incoming) address. Make sure they are correct.
