Absolutely.
For all of the media hype about people that got sick and/or died after riding it, there are a couple of things to remember:
* One of the people that died on it had a heart condition and should never have been on the ride in the first place. She had pre-existing conditions and should have heeded the warnings not to ride.
* The other person that died after riding it was examined by the coroner, who determined that the subject would have died right then regardless of whether he had ridden Mission: Space or if he was sitting on the monorail.
Mission Space generates its "G-Forces" with Centrifugal force. This means that you're going to get spun around and around very very fast to simulate the forces of multiple G's when lifting off.
The main thing to remember is to KEEP LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD. Don't look at your friends or family on either side of you. If you turn your head to the left or right, it's very likely you'll become ill very quickly (airsick bags are provided in each seat in the event this occurs).
Mission:Space! is one of my favorite attractions, and I look forward to riding it again next week when I'm in Orlando for Spring Break.

Yes! Mission Space is completely safe! It is one of my very favorite rides and it feels like no other ride like you have been on before! It is amazing! Do not be concerned about the people who died on the ride. It has always been safe but people did not listen to the safety precautions and died because they already had an excising heart problem. Such as the 48 year old women and the 3 year old boy who died on the ride a year or so ago. I have also heard they added a new part to the ride which let's you choose the original version or the mild version. If I were you I would go on the original version because its a blast and feels like you are actually going into space. Remember to always stare right into your screen and never look to either side! That will make you sick! Or dizzy which it did to me! Have fun! There usually is not a very long line for this ride because so many people are scared!! Hope this helps!!!

I think it is safe, but I in all honesty will not take my children on the wild ride. Not totally because I am concerned about safety (but as a mom, once someone has died on something because they had a condition they were not aware of... I know people have died on other rides, but that is usually over something stupid like they got out of the boat, or operator error, but the idea that someone died while everything was going exactly as it should, makes me leary) but also because I have friends who have said they have seen numerous people vomitting. The "rush" one person described is often nausea and vomiting for others. A friend who works at the park said that the problem was so bad that a month after opening the carpet in the exit hallway was totally stained. This does not sound fun to me. Does not even sound thrilling. And to be certain my 8 year old would keep his eyes front and focused on the screen? Nope can't do it. I know him, he would forget and look around and the day would lose the magic. So, for me, with kids, I will ride the safe version and not feel like I have missed a thing.

sure that is risk-free. The boy who died had a heart condtion that replaced into not disclosed (that is all we heard approximately on the information right here in Orlando). There are 2 strategies and the two have action. The extra severe part spins to grant you that 0 gravity sense. the less severe part nevertheless strikes the only distinction is you do not spin. I easily have been on the two strategies quite a few cases (I oftentimes % the shorter line) and that i individually prefer the part that doesn't spin. i don't in basic terms like the sensation of 0 gravity. i might study it to the sensation you get on the gravitron on the honest. yet it fairly is a private selection and you'd be risk-free on the extra severe part as long as you do not have a heart situation.

For me, it was a physical RUSH!
I am a strength trainer, 21 years. I am big and strong.
So my body REALLY SQUASHES down on this ride.
I tried to raise my arms, I could NOT! Amazing.
I turned my head left, everything went into a spin! Man, what a rush. I turned my head right the next time, the spin got worse.'
Again, what a rush!!
I do not know HOW this pushing works, but I think it is wild and great. Like going on a milder version of Back to the Future.

You dont have to worry anymore...they made another part to mission space that took away all the gravity & pressure....it is much more mild.
But, they still have the original and I got a little sick but I did survive. You get a lot of pressure on your chest.

It's safe, and a lot of fun too.
But do heed the advise of the previous answer and keep looking straight ahead.
The 1st time I rode it the lady next to me needed one of the bags.

I've never been on it, but it's safe as long as you listen to what they tell you to do.
If it wasn't they wouldn't let you go on it. :)
