Does anyone know when the new season comes out?

Since the new season just start production last Friday (March 16 2007), the earliest I expect to see it would be September 2007. thefutoncritic.com has it listed as returning for the 2007-08 season.
As of now the final season is expected to have only 10 episodes, as that is the amount of episodes HBO would pay for.

Apparently the new star addition this season is Clark Johnson from "Homicide".

The new season is in production right now. It will not be aired until the Sunday after the Super Bowl '08. Because of it's success, it will take the Sopranos slot as this is the final season of Sopranos. You will probably start seeing repeat episodes on HBO around September.

Probably in October or so that is when the last season started. Oh by the way season 4 just ended a few weeks back, did you see it? You can see season 4 if you have on-demand with your cable.
