Hello, children, I'm back. I'm dying a slow painful death in a mental institution. They are taking my computer right away as they did in the battered women's shelter and pregnant I've recieved so many shots I want to die at this point. Do i have the right to ask for the death penalty?

No, you don't have the right to ask for the "death penalty." One, because if you are in prison for a crime, your sentence has already been determined, and if you aren't incarcerated, you can't impose a "death penalty" on yourself. If you're in a mental institution, chances are, you've been deemed incapable of making any decisions on your behalf anyway regardless of whether they were legally in your capacity to institute.

In the US (except Oregon), no. The courts do not recognize any constitutional right to end your own life.

And even in Oregon, the only state with an Assisted Suicide law, you must already be suffering a terminal physical disease.

Laws vary by country, so check your local listings.
