It's not fair for your spouse to get slashed out when something goes wrong at work. I realize man do this a lot, it's hard to separate 1 problem from another and therefore, create another problem.
First thing first:
Apologize to her, of you taking it out on everybody (especially her), that it's not her fault & how unfair we have been for doing that.
Tell your spouse you're going a rough time at work, explain a bit about the mess, make her understand that you're under stress.
Thank her for trying to be understanding.
I suggest you do this immediately, don't wait until you got mad. That's to make things better for now. For the future, you have to try not to make the same mistake again. Think, what activity will sooth you? destress you? Some people find working out could help them let out their negative energy, some people find having a pet could help them feel happier, other people have other ways to help them sooth their mind, like cooking, doing a puzzle, sudoku, listen to music, etc.
If you have found your way to help you destress, and you're in one of those bad days, after work, tell your spouse that you need half hour to destress yourself, then you could go outside jogging or go to the gym or you could spend that 1/2 hour at a room doing your thing etc. When you get out or come back, you're a better person. Hug your spouse to show her you're back to your oldself.
Explain all this to your spouse before you do this, so she won't think you're pushing her away, & do this only when you are stressed out & don't make this as a getaway, you really got to find a way to calm yourself and do it in a short time. Maybe 1/2 hour is too short but don't take 3 hours or forever, you're missing out alot on your life.
Hope this could help you.
