I have a very high metabolism. I've taken 6 pregnancy tests (same time of day, different days) all with the same mIU, with a 50/50 split of negs and positives. Could my metabolism be affecting the amount of hCG in my body? I have a dr's appointment on April 11th to verify if I am pregnant. I appreciate any answers!

you're probably pregnant, the result are probably due to different sensitivities of the tests.

"The "official" sensitivity is the manufacturer's guaranteed minimum detection level. Often, however, tests are more sensitive than advertised. ... Even 2 tests in the same box may not have the exact same sensitivity threshold."

"there are many variables-- concentration of urine, sensitivity of the test. Since true false positives are pretty rare, if you get at least one positive HPT, you are probably pregnant. Wait a couple of days and test again or try another brand if you are suspect."
