What does restore do on itunes for an ipod nano that has frozen?

Mine has frozen and i don't know what restore does.

uhhh, Restore Clears Out The iPod, And Restores It To Factory Settings,

To Restart the iPod, Hole The Menu, And The Select (middle) Button Down Until You See The Apple Logo...

all that restore does is take the nano back to the very original version on the ipod. to reset follow these directions:
1. toogle the hold switch
2. now hold the center wheel and the menu button. if not, retry until it does work.

if you restore it .it will erase all your music on ipod.but you can always load it back with your itunes.sometimes they freeze if they haven;t been used in a while charge it first .or try the 5 r's on apple.com
