My hamster is really acting strange and I think she might be dying. She is 3 years old. She can hardly walk to her food and water which aren't that far away. When she pee's, blood comes out. I know hamsters don't live that long, and I'm afraid that she is dying. My mom won't take her to the vet, no matter how much I beg. Please, what should I do? Any veterinarians that can help? Please help, she's getting cold.

I'm so sorry but it is the end of your hamsters life, and it will die. There is nothing you could really do and since you can not go to the vet to have it put down the least you could do is try to make it as comfortable as possible. Just don't move it around to much.

Keep your hamster warm and comfortable, she is most likely dying. I am sorry that your mom is unable to take her to the vet, but you could possibly call the vets office for some information.

I do not think that hamsters live more than a few years.

I will say a prayer for you and your hamster.

Your hamster sounds very sick. If she is peeing blood, there is something wrong. She needs to be taken to a vet. If you have no way of getting her to the vet on your own, the best thing you can do for her is to make sure she is comfortable, move her food and water close to her so she doesn't have to struggle to get it.

Wow this is a tough situation. If your mother won't take her to the vet all you can do is keep her warm and give her affection. Try to hold the food and water for her while you hold her wrapped in a blanket.

Remember that if this is the end of her life you're love may give her some comfort. Snuggle her if she wants it and just try to make her happy.

yes she is dying...i would say take her to the vet to be put to sleep...so that she doesnt suffer...i had to do it oce because my 3yr old hamster had a brain tumor...i know its hard, but dont let her suffer...it only cost about 35 dollars to put her to sleep....3 years old is a good age for hamsters, they usually dont live past 3.

Look in a phone book for a vet's number and call them. Tell them what is going on and they can tell you if there is anything you can do. I hope you figure out something, good luck.
