x = 4/y + 7 subtract 7 from both sides

x - 7 = 4/y divide both sides by 4

(x - 7)/4 = 1/y take the inverse of both sides (just flip them both)

4/(x - 7) = y

If the equation is x = 4/(y +7)

x = 4/(y + 7)
Multiple both sides by y+7

(y+7)*x = 4
Now divide by x

y+7 = 4/x
Now subtract 7
y = 4/x -7

If the equation was
x = 4/y +7

Subtract the 7 first
x - 7 = 4/y

Now multiply both sides by y
y( x-7) = 4

Now divide both sides by (x-7)
y = 4/(x-7)
