Absolutely, but even better is transferring them to MP3, because you can then burn your own custom CD's right from the computer.

The whole process is made quite simple with this device:

No, for records unless there is a cd and a record player in one. With cassette tapes there are some cd players that can copy the songs from a cassette onto a cd. But I am not sure how to do it.

Yep
Put simply, you will need to connect your cassette player/record deck to your PC soundcard, then play the cassette/record whilst recording on your PC. A step-by-step guide is available at:

The recording software is the key, there are some free software downloads available at:

I have used ‘Magix Audio Cleaning Lab’ and ‘Audacity’ – Audacity is particularly popular since it is free!
If you record to WAV format, expect file sizes of around 10MB per minute, or 1MB per minute for MP3 (at 128kbps).
Once you have your digital versions of the recording on your PC, simply burn them on to a CD (Nero burning software or similar..). If you use Magix Audio Cleaning, the software will burn an audio CD for you without needing additional software (assuming you have a CD writing drive of course!)
You can also download a free PDF version of the step-by–step guide from the download page mentioned above, the guide is complete with diagrams and screen-shots
Hope this helps

yes, it is possible, I've been doing it for years...

1) get a record player

2) get a RCA to mini stereo cable

3) get some digital recording software

4) plug the mini stereo into your computer

5) record with the digital recorder

6) burn with WMP or Roxio or Any other CD Burning Software
