i need to make a 3-D model of a bacteriophage. go to this link and look at the image and please give me some suggestions on how i can make a 3-D model using things i might have at home. i dont have time to go buy materials. thanks

You didn't say what kind of materials you have at home. Other than the prism looking thing on top, the rest of it could be built from bolts, washers of varying sizes (put around a wooden rod), and bent pieces of wire (coat hangers???) for the tail fibers. Instead of the washers on the wooden rod, you could also just use any tube--like from paper towels, gift wrap, etc. If you have some flat sheets of cardboard, you could try bending them and gluing them together for the multi-sided head. Plain paper plates might work for the cardboard, too.
