I need to know if there are any good types of liquid rubbers, plastic, resins...that i can use to reapply on a plastic object, then reshape.

If possible, any suggestions on where I can get it or if I can make it.

Just to let you all know, i have a project to alter this plastic shaped object our teacher gave. I wanted to be able to reshape the thing.

Most large Arts and Crafts stores (Micheals, etc.), carry liquid latex mold building material. Keep in mind, this is an air cure process and requires multiple coats to get a strong mold. This in mind, it can take days to weeks to get a completed mold. This material is especially good, however, if the object has a lot of undercuts.

There are companies like Smooth On that sell various silicones and polyeurethanes, but the process of using these substances are complex for the beginner.

If you are interested, I suggest looking on Amazon.com for any of Thurston James' books on casting and mold making. It's a good primer for the beginner and intermediate alike. Otherwise feel free in contacting me for further tips.

I always just use vaseline or plastic wrap.
