Why is everyone celebrating Valentine's day every year?
Does anyone know where it orginated from? Does anyone know who forced it to be a valentines day?
And who makes these laws?
And why is it that in every country it is being celebrated?

I dont need something pasted from google.
would be kind.
thanks

It's over rated. If you really love someone than you show them everyday. Just with little looks and touches and compliments.
The card company's really did come up with it, I say.
Everyday is the fourteenth!

i think it's sweet. why not? if you have a valentine, it would be something for you guys to do together.
i do realize that it DOES make ALOT of people depressed cus some people feel left out, or makes them sad that they don't have someone to spend it with, or the fact that it can bring back bad memories from previous year.
i guess one doesnt really have to celebrate Valentine's day if they don't want to. You can just ignore it and pretend it doesnt exist.
But i still think its a very sweet holiday. lols

You look so curious and serious to know about Valentine's day. It was first discovered in Italy by a man his last name was Valentine. I actually celebrate it every year and I thing every body loves it. It is my favorite day from all the year. It about joy, happiness, and love.

I think it is stupid. You can celebrate your love for the other person everyday of the year, not just one day. You can treat the other person just to treat them. It doesn't have to be any day in particular. I think it is becoming a show off holiday, that is all. It is just about how much can you spend. Here is some info.

Okay, I think you are a tad hype about this topic.I mean it's over for the year.We all know that most of our american holidays have some bac background.Just decide if you wanna go by the old way or the new way! I think people celebrate because their families celebrated it before and it has become their traditions!

I think that it is a nice day to set aside and show your special someone that you love and care about them but I think that it should be an everyday thing not something you do once a year if you love someone treat each day like everyday is V-Day!

I cannot recall all details, but St.Valentine
cured a Roman Emperor's daughter of
blindness, through his faith and prayers, in
return the Emperor had the Saint beheaded,
but he has since been associated with great
love since; I don't think its so much a law as
it is more tradition.
