Because their protests are meaningless and the only way they can draw attention is by violence. Unfortunately for them that is negative attention and makes them a bigger joke.

One of your answers tried to make light of the violence by saying only 2%. Well if you are protesting violence (war) - then why would you get violent? Sounds like liberalism at its best!

No good ever comes out of "peace rallies" thanks to the preposterous immaturity of those that hold them. How is this any different from the countless others that have taken place?

they are only against the use of violence if they think they might actually get hurt...starting, instigating and fomenting violence in the name of peace is all a-ok ....according to the socialists manual for civic reform...

Because people get emotional, and some people get physical when they are challenged.

And according to the article, it was just under 2% of the total protestors who got violent.

Compare that to 1% of US citizens who are felons or ex-cons.
